The Navigators First Responder Ministry and FCFI
Since 2012 I have had the honor of serving as the President/Missionary for the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters International (FCFInternational). As a ministry to firefighters and first responders across the world, our vision is to glorify God in the fire service by building relationships that turn the hearts and minds of firefighters and first responders to Christ (I Thessalonians 2:8), equipping them to serve Him (Ephesians 4:12). Since 1977 our ministry has been passionate about developing local groups where firefighters and families can come together for a time of Bible study and worship.
FCFInternational is working on refocusing our efforts on discipleship and our members becoming obedient to Matthew 28:18-20. This is where the Navigator First Responder Ministry comes in. Our two ministries have partnered together to ignite a passion in the fire service for the specific purpose of making disciples.
Think of the game of golf for a minute. There are three major parts to golf:
1. Driver game - Sunday school and Church : This is the long game, driving the ball down the fairway.

2. Iron game - FCFI Bible Studies: This is the short game to get the ball in a smaller area on the green.

3. ​Putting game - Discipleship: This is getting the ball into the hole.
Together, our ministries will teach our members how to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will go on to make more disciples of Jesus Christ who go on to make more disciples and this process never stop. We are talking about Spiritual generations of disciple-makers influencing the fire service and glorifying God.
